A total of 950,076 battery-electric cars and plug-in hybrids were sold worldwide during the first six months of 2020. That represents an increase of 4.1 percent relative to the first half of 2019. This segment in the automotive market has shown explosive growth year-on-year for some time now and (nearly) all leading brands have added their own electric models to the range. Even though the appearance of these cars does not differ from traditional models in many cases, the technology under the bonnet is definitely revolutionary. This type of drive train is based on underlying technologies and components of a different type. Due to the use of batteries, aspects such as heat dissipation and active cooling are also gaining in importance.
Since the emergence of electric vehicles as a mainstream product, BUVO has actively produced specific parts for this segment and we have adapted our machinery, team and portfolio to take advantage of this growth market.
