The Ducth High-tech Discovery Route 2019 with BUVO Castings
More than 3000 visitors saw with their own eyes on Saturday 25 May 2019 what a fun event the High Tech discovery route Helmond – de Peel is.
More than 50 companies were represented on the site of the celebrating Franke in Helmond, all of which had devised fun activities to bring technology in general and their techniques specifically to the attention in a fun way and to make it especially interesting for children.
All this with the aim to make the youngest generations enthusiastic about technology.
This year BUVO was a proud participant for the first time and it was with great pleasure that we introduced the visitors to our processes. Because we did this in the form of chocolate casting, which has a remarkable similarity with aluminum casting, the children rightfully imagined themselves in a chocolate factory (and of course they became very enthusiastic about our work). And by presenting the craft, we could easily make the link to all the modern techniques that we use for it today.
The compilation of this day gives you an impression of everything that happened on this day full of entertainment.
Our stand was manned by Harrie Custers, Jeroen Geomini, Wendy Hendriks, Willem Joosten, Timo Lubbers, Daniel Priester, Bart Verbruggen, Martijn Verschoor and Rob Winkelmolen. We were supported by Peter Vossen for the chocolate. And the team did it so much that they caught the attention of the local media. Timo, Daniel and Peter stole the show at Siris. We look back on this day with great pleasure. Hopefully we and all other participants of the Hightech Helmond – de Peel Foundation will be there again next year. And of course we would also like to see you (again) on this special day.
